If your carpet has already becoming soiled and is looking older and more worn out than it should be then it's time to shampoo the entire area. Renting a carpet cleaning machine is an inexpensive way to bring back some of the luster that your carpets used to have. Over time dirt, dust, and other unwanted materials work deep into the core of your carpet and shampooing is the only way to get that excess dirt out. If you have pets you may want to use this opportunity to get rid of some of the odors they have left on the carpet by using a multi allergen carpet shampoo that will remove dust, mites, urine, and other unsavory smells from your carpets. After you have finished cleaning your carpets you may notice that some aged stains still are present despite your best efforts. Depending on the type of stain it may still be possible to remove it using a stain removal machine. These tiny machines are set over top of a stain and left for an hour while it works at getting out the stains.
